We left Glasgow this morning headed to the ferry that will take us and our bus to Belfast, Northern Ireland. Along the way we stopped in Alloway, Scotland, birthplace of Robert Burns.
Burns, 1759-1796, is regarded as the national poet of Scotland. There is a museum here dedicated to his life and works.

The ferry was very large. Dozens of semi trucks and 2 tour buses plus lots of cars drove onto it. We stayed on the bus as our driver took us aboard, and then went upstairs where there was a bar, cafe and a deejay entertaining everyone.

Scotland was a beautiful and magical place to visit. So much history, fun people, and amazing scenery.
As we pulled off the ferry, we saw a cruise ship at the docks. Our guide told us this was where the Titanic was built.
We had our first meal in Ireland at a pub near our hotel. I had Irish stew and Kevin had steak and Guinness pie. Both were delicious!
