We left our charming Victorian hotel this morning and are headed to Glasgow, Scotland for tonight.
Along the way, we stopped to see some Highland cows, or coos as they are called here. They were so cute and friendly.
We didn't see Nessie yesterday, but today was a different story.
Just kidding, our tour guide put some window clings on our windows. 🤣
Thomas Telford was a well known civil engineer in these parts and designed numerous projects, including this bridge built in 1813. There is even a town named after him.
We passed Ben Nevis, the tallest mountain in Scotland, about 4,400 feet high.
We stopped in Glencoe, there was a little museum. They have recreated a turf house which is what the Highlanders would have lived in in olden days. The scenery has been beautiful!

All this beautiful scenery today was in Glencoe Valley. Part of the James Bond movie Skyfall was filmed here, as well as numerous scenes in Outlander.
A bride and groom were having photos taken. He's wearing a kilt!
This is Loch Lomond, the largest lake in Scotland, located in the Teodsachs NationalPark. Loch Ness is second biggest.
By late afternoon we left the Highlands and arrived in Glasgow, the biggest city in Scotland. Edinburgh is the capital, but Glasgow is four times bigger, and considered the cultural center of the country.

Glasgow was heavily bombed during WWII. Some prewar buildings still stand, with newer buildings mixed in.
