DEF gel wor...Now thats something I know how to do! DEF gel works pretty good on the under layer. You can apply it with a roller or brush. The key is to have patience and wait at least 15 -20 minutes before you try to scrape the paper off. I often gave it a second or third coat working areas ahead of myself. After it ha done it's work you can remove the paper with a large putty knife.<br /><br />Some of the paper I removed was over bare drywall.
