...Happy Belated Anniversary and many more to come.

I think that jeweler was trying to rip you off. I would send off a comment or something to the Better Business Bureau or the equivalent in the States. Someone like that shouldn't be in business. Glad you were able to get it repaired by someone else that was honest.

Kevin and Ruth
www.travelwithkevinandruth.comKevin Readhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05795747155781311686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6937272310789395278.post-3823994077495744912011-06-12T09:40:15.636-05:002011-06-12T09:40:15.636-05:00Congratulations, I too wish you another 34 years o...Congratulations, I too wish you another 34 years of wedded bliss. I too am Lutheran and when I went through conformation, or pastor required us to take notes on the sermon Every Sunday even while on vacation. If a Luthern church wasn't available we were to go to a Catholic church. All the information was in English ( back then the service was in Latin). You two have proved that it can work.
Glad that the bracelet incident was a positive one.what'supwithsusanandcompanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13314263752153548219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6937272310789395278.post-1429440681958865672011-06-12T06:11:04.818-05:002011-06-12T06:11:04.818-05:00I loathe those retailers or repair outfits who on ...I loathe those retailers or repair outfits who on the one hand tell you it's too broken to fix, and then offer to buy it from you for an insultingly low amount. Good thing you didn't sell. (there's a Nikon camera story in there I could tell). Also....I not too long ago read an article saying that far too many people are doing that whole "cash for gold" thing, and many genuine antiques are being melted down and lost forever.
This is not good. There's something to be said for the "intrinsic" value of a piece, not just how much it weighs.Bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03523653271715366168noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6937272310789395278.post-68786391881790350712011-06-11T20:50:05.089-05:002011-06-11T20:50:05.089-05:00Hope you have 34 more enjoyable years! :)Hope you have 34 more enjoyable years! :)Travels with Emmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00411769980205792011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6937272310789395278.post-70612214901971999762011-06-11T20:10:53.397-05:002011-06-11T20:10:53.397-05:00Congratulations! Hope this weather settles down for all of us. We had similar days last week, tonight however is gorgeous and we are sitting by the fire.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17263191567454481794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6937272310789395278.post-66997293103406612742011-06-11T19:53:17.830-05:002011-06-11T19:53:17.830-05:00Happy anniversary! I claimed it, and they were going to pay when I found the ruby on the floor between two tiles in the studio. I dropped the claim.
Seems like you could loose that bracelet and although it would make you sad, the insurance would soften the blow.Merikayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05378095339747943548noreply@blogger.com
